The 36th Symposium at Saint Gallen University (Switzerland)

The St. Gallen Symposium is a neutral platform for dialogues between current and new generations of leaders and among countries and cultures. Each year, about 600 decision-makers, 200 qualified students and 100 leading representatives of international media from all over the world participate in the Symposium to discuss about issues of global concern. The value of the Symposium is to create a link betwenn current and new generations of leaders in politics, science and business. Students will be able to gather valuable ideas about the coming world and courses of actions that future leaders and decision-makers need to take in order to build a safe, sustainable and prosperous world. This year, the discussed topic is “Inspiring Europe”, which is how to renovate and inspire Europe in the new international economic environment. Being deeply impressed by this topic, I have written the 2970-word essay: “Entrepreneurial Formula in the 21st century”.
In this essay, I regarded the whole world as a customer and a supplier, and entrepreneurship is beyond borders. Therefore, the new entrepreneurial formula to help entrepreneurs create viable businesses composes of 5 elements: Global Vision to know where to go in the future; Global Leadership Skills to lead their businesses in international environments; Technology Savvy to create new business and improve productivity; Multi-culture Awareness to shape company and customer cultures; and Entrepreneurial Passion to be successful in their venture of creating new global companies. These capabilities are essentially needed for entrepreneurs to transform their brave entrepreneurial ideas into flourishing global businesses.
I was selected to participate in the 36th Symposium at Saint Gallen University (Switzerland). I will build a network between Asia, Europe and other continents of the world through the Symposium.
Switzerland is a country of beauty and hospitality. I would like to take this opportunity to learn about this small but interesting country in the center of Europe.
In brief, the 36th Symposium is an important event in my life. I can learn the most about the world and global economy and build a strong network with participants from all over the world. I strongly believe that by being together, we can solve the world's problems and to make our earth a better place to live.
